There is a puppy show in Mjölby (2.7 hours away! ) for which I signed Feisty up. Given their previous photos of the winner they either dont have many cocker spaniels there or they arent too fond of them .. I'll see which when the papers arrive. The Second of November everything for the first part of the semester will be done (hopefully before) and then I will practice with Fajsty every day. I have yet to find a good place for it but I will. Things we have to practice:
So you see we have a lot of work ahead of us.

Feisty got a green ribbon on his first show, the dog that won was identical, just one month older. Gary said; why dont you show him again in one month... So I'll look for that =)

New pictures of the Feisty Fajsty. ( click here to see them ) We went out for a drive Sunday because we needed a change of scene and to get out of the house for a while. It's amazing how messy it gets in just a short time. We need new vacuum cleaner bags! And a new hallway light.

Hello.. It's been a while. Feisty is the cutest dog but the cage thing stopped rather quickly, the kitchen is now his main sleeping zone. Tonight he slept from about 23:00 to 07:00, but he didnt wake me up until 09:30, maybe he knows I dont feel very well. I think I'm getting a cold. there is a puppy-show in Halmstad on the 21st of this month, we are going to enter, and so is his sister. ( Pictures of Feisty and sister ) In my group (in pyppy class) there are a couple of people who are going to enter as well but one of them is completely stressed out about it, I dont think its good for her health to be so hyper about it, let alone the dogs health... the dog is freaked out because the owner is freaked out.... Feisty is just freaked out bedcause thats his nature.... sometimes... Waking me up at 9;30 was very angelic ![]() We will practice standing still and walking properly, but I dont think it will be rememberred on the day in question. We will also practice letting other (unknown) people look him in the mouth (while standing still) This I think will be the biggest challenge ... ( what it can look like when being Shown: http://tigervargens.se/bilder/lukasstakm.j ![]() We are practicing Ligg too at the moment (means lie down) , I think he's starting to grasp it slowly. Sitt was no problem but now its a problem because anytime there is candy around he sits... (candy = sit) Stand up will be a problem too but we will practice it a lot... practice makes perfect..

The puppydog has grown so much since last post, He's got some height now so he can stride, instead of tumble. There's been ups and downs since last post, ome night he woke us up Twice, and both times he had peed and pooped Everywhere. That night we decided to build him a cage or time out box. So yesterday we went to a carpenter-supermarket to have a look around and we found the perfect things straight away. It was a wooden fence that was supposed to be built into a gate, but that didnt matter to us, we werent going to make it into a gate. It was 10:- cheaper than the fence-version so.. that was the deciding factor. I like constructing and am usually good at it so I took it upon me to assemple it: - saw one of the "gates" in half and then nail the two pieces to the whole one to create a [ , then I took some net that I already had (which I had used to fence around the garden), and tied it to the front. ![]() (full size http://www.annasuss.com/LJ-imgs/cage.jpg ![]() When we got home in the evening and had tried to get him to calm down and relax I put him in there, first he lay down but then when he realized he couldnt get out he was rather annoyed and whined and barked at us for some time.. when he was calm-ish I took him out to see if he really did need to go, but he didnt, but he did go to sleep on the grass, which made me believe he found his new bed a bit too warm, so I changed the pillow and put up a fan (on the chair pointring at him), and then he was content.

Before the trip: ![]() ( http://www.annasuss.com/LJ-imgs/fajsty.j ![]() This weekend that just were we went to Öland, I think we all enjoued most of it, the youth hostels were ok, the first one was a bit pricey but allright, and the second one didnt look like on the picture but wasnt all too bad anyway. We went around most of the top half of the island. Map': http://www.supertravelnet.com/map/1/263_ ![]() We went through most of the listed cities above Borgholm. Our first stay was near Köpingsvik and the second was near Färjestaden. We drove on the beach-side of the west side all the way up, and on the bigger road all the way down. The doggie behaved excellently. No problem, no issues.. lovely.. On the second stay they had put up an agility track ( http://www.cnwl.igs.net/~dennisw/course.h ![]() We tried: High Jump, Tunnel, A frame, Slalom (weave poles), Dogwalk, and the see-saw. None of it was any trouble at all, except maybe the jumps, he isnt quite big enough to manage that well. He looked so happy running around, and then when we were done and I was going back to the exit he decided himself to run back through the tunnel and try to jump all the high jumps, (he ran under some because they were far too high). The fact that he did that on his own means that he liked it and I think agility will be our thing. Fotomodel doggie ![]() ( http://www.annasuss.com/LJ-imgs/fajsty2.j ![]() All of us had fun on the trip even if it was tiring. we got a few Familyphotos (below) and a few golden ones like the one above. ![]() ( http://www.annasuss.com/LJ-imgs/we.jpg ![]()

Puppy seems to be growing every minute. Saturday we took him to Malmö when Gary was playing cricket. He was really good and he found a kid to play with, they were chasing eachother and having a lot of fun. Unfortunately I was not fast enough with the camera so I didnt capture the moment (Image fullsize http://www.annasuss.com/LJ-imgs/pupmalmo.J ![]() He's got really really long eyelashes too, very cute. He still eats anything, Fingers, sticks, noses, leafs, grass, weed, yoghurt, wires,.. and on top of all that his own food. Just now he's chewing on the USB ports on the computer. Silly thing. HE has toys.... But I guess its an attention thing, when he sticks with his toys I dont talk to him, but when he chews on other things I tell him not to.... now he went to sleep, gave up on getting attention I guess... Yesterday we went to the forest nearby, its just a bunch of trees really, but to him its like a jungle. He was so happy and bouncy and he found the biggest stick he has ever seen, we brought it home and he's still amazed by it. He walked on the lead all the way there and without it all the way home. He follows us, I hope it stays that way. He's clever too. If I accidentally leave him alone for too long he tells me off when I get back. He growls and says: " How dare you leave me like that, dont you know I am just a baby I shouldnt be left alone for too long!! " Like Stewie in Family guy. ![]() URL: http://euroross.blogspot.com/Stewie%20Jo ![]() Feisty chats with anyone willing though, he's really social, especially with the ladies. Gary calls him a ladies man..... And on a less dogrelated note: Hallandsposten (the local newspaper) will come to our house tonight at 6 o clock. Thats a little bit scary. They want to talk to me about my genealogy research. I told them that gary had done most of it, and she said she wouldnt mind interviewing both of us... I hope I dont say anything stupid... I probably will but I hope she doesnt quote me on it..... hehe... The reson she contacted me in the first place is because I am doing (or trying to do) a cd for the geneaology society of Halmstad. The head of the genealogy society and I have common ancestors we think. Anyway he mentioned me to the hallandsposten lady and she decided to contact me... Lucky I cleaned the whole place yesterday. Now only tidying is necessary. I still have a lot of details to fix on the cd... so I better get going before the puppy wakes up and wants to play again.

Ok I found both, one I had hung under a jacket, and the other was in the kitchen under a towel. here's a picture: ![]() Now he's asleep by the way so now I can get some things done.. I am going to order a wristsupport for the mouse because I have used the computer for like 4 minutes and my wrist hurts already. Not good. Then I am going to try to sort something out with a flash thing that I am working on. After that I will start cleaning up in my garden. Feisty likes eating plants and stuff and I doubt that all are good for him, so I was thinking to remove all but the biggest ones (because they are too pretty to be removed) and then put rocks or something over the soil so weed wont come at once. if its priceworthy I'll put red pebbles. On one side I will sow grass, and in between the bigger plnts I will put grass plants, because grass isnt bad for him. If I have time to do all this before 3:30 I will give the puppy a bath, he's been a bit itchy lately and I thought a bath might help.

He's a bundle of energy. Last night he almost slept all night so of course this morning he is crazy. We ran around the backyard (about the size of a football field or two), and normally he gets pretty tired after that butr today he just wanted to keep on playing. :) Hrm, I was going to get and resize a photo for you but I cant find my camera bag or my normal bag so I will devote some time to look for them now. It would be insanely bad if either was gone.. Its probably just me having forgotten where I put them, but this place isnt so big so I should be able to spot them... Little Feisty is taking on the rug. I think he's winning too. I'll probably post again with a picture when I find the camera.

We went to Bergkällans kennel (google for it to find it) and got ourselves a puppy. a cocker spaniel. It will be called Feisty.
It is defined in many dictionaries as 'aggressive,
excitable, nervous, touchy' but is now more often used to mean
'spirited', 'assertive', 'able to speak up for oneself' (usually
applied to women). It has also appeared in an advertisement for a
high-performance car, presumably suggesting that the car is fast,
tough, and exciting to drive.
Words tend to change their meanings with time, sometimes through an error which gradually
becomes accepted (as with decimate), often by being applied to different things, as in this case. Feisty
is changing too quickly for dictionaries to keep up with – and it
remains to be seen what the accepted meaning will eventually be.

I think it is a good idea.....
I want to take it to a show/exhibition, just to see how we do, and the training for show is beneficial in everyday life-obedience.... But first I will try to find out more about it.
I think once we get the puppy I will update more often on funny things it does etc, it also helps that we have got a second computer.
Now I'm gonna go study the cocker spaniel-breed info.
